Congratulations to the HHS students who were district level winners and honorable mentions in the Young Georgia Authors writing competition!
Jessie Pickett won the 12th grade writing award for her narrative "Fern." Her story will be entered in the regional competition. Jessie will also receive a $500 college scholarship from Catoosa County Schools.
Lyla Kirby won the 11th grade writing award for her poem "Swinging with the Sunset." Her poem will also advance to the regional competition.
Shout out to Natalie Ferry and Lilly Mize who each received honorable mentions on the county level for their writing. All four students will be honored at a Young Georgia Author's celebration in May.
