Band Wins 3rd Grand Championship

The Legion of Generals Marching Band won their 3rd Grand Championship in their last competition of the season at the Rockmart Yellow Jacket Classic on October 7th. The band, color guard, drum majors and percussion received all superior ratings. Band and color guard were 1st in class, with percussion and drum majors placing 2nd. Overall the color guard was 1st, percussion 2nd and drum majors 3rd.
The Marching Band won their second Grand Championship of the season at the Northeast Alabama Marching Festival in Albertville, Alabama. The Legion received perfect scores for drum majors, color guard and percussion. They received best in class awards for drum majors and color guard and were the 1st place band in their class. They also received the "Most Entertaining Band" award along with the Grand Championship.
The Legion won their first Grand Championship of the season on September 23rd at Bradley Central, competing against 14 other bands. The Legion came away with best in class Band, Color Guard, and Percussion for bands in class 5A, Grand Champions for the large band division, and best overall Band and Color Guard of the competition. Percussion were 2nd overall of the 14 bands competing.
