Catoosa County Public Schools participate in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program which permits the school system to offer free and reduced priced meals to students who qualify.  The School Nutrition Program (SNP) is a self-supporting operation.  The program relies on meal payments and federal reimbursement of meals served to fund this program.

State Rule requires the SNP to make school lunch available to all students somewhere between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00.  The Catoosa County Public School System will not deny any student a meal or offer them an alternate meal in the event they cannot pay.  Catoosa County Public Schools and the School Nutrition Program strongly believe “Hungry Students, Cannot Learn”.

When Your Student has Charges

·         Cafeteria bookkeeper will send out charge notification letters once a week.

·         Sometimes, the balance you see on the letter, may have changed before it gets to you.  Every attempt is made to get the letters to you the same day they are printed, however circumstances may make that impossible.

·         Parents are asked to please send in the amount of money owed.

·         Once a charge balance reaches $10.00, the bookkeeper will follow up with a phone call.

·         At the end of each month the bookkeeper will give a list of charges owed to the Principal.

When You Have Trouble Paying for Meals

·         Please contact your school cafeteria bookkeeper to work out a plan to help you pay for your child’s meals

·         Pay as you can to keep the balance from getting too high

·         Fill out a free and reduced meal price application

Applying for Free and Reduced Price Meals

·         Federal Regulations require Free and Reduced Price Meal Applications be made available to all households.

·         Meal applications are available for your convenience at

·         If you prefer a paper application, please contact your school’s cafeteria bookkeeper or call the SNP office at (706) 965-2414.

·         Parents will still be responsible for charges incurred prior to approval of the application.

Paying For School Meal

  • You may choose to pay for the meals with a check or cash to the school cafeteria bookkeeper.
  • For your convenience you may also pay online at the following website:
  • You can set up one account and pay for all of your students through that one account.
  • You can view your child’s purchasing history.
  • You can set low balance reminders to notify you by email or text
  • There is a $1.95 transaction fee to pay online.  This money does not go to the school system, it is for the upkeep of the online payment system.

A copy of this procedure will be provided to all households at the beginning of school and throughout the year.  One will also be sent home with the initial notification of charges owed.  In addition, the procedure will be posted on the system website.
