Posted on 08/22/2019
Heritage High seniors Zach Adams and Davis Wyre are among the first students in Catoosa County to study Mechatronics through Georgia Northwestern Technical College. This program provides students with the necessary skills and understanding to perform installation, diagnostics and repair to mechatronic systems and automated equipment. The program focuses on Mechanics, Fluid Power, and Robotics. In a ceremony at GNTC, Zach and Davis signed a commitment to the program and were addressed by the superintendent, State level officials of the Technical College System of Georgia, State Senator Jeff Mullis and State Representative Dwayne Hill.
Mechatronics is one of many programs of study that are offered by GNTC free of charge to HHS students through Dual Enrollment. Students interested in taking classes at GNTC should start by speaking with their school counselor.
