Catoosa County School System is a Charter System in the state of Georgia. In Charter Systems, each school has its own local school governance team composed of parents, teachers, community members, students and the principal. The responsibilities of the school governance team include personnel decisions, approval of charter funds budget, approval of fundraisers, recommendations for school budget, recommendations on curriculum, review and approval of school improvement plan, school calendar input, field trip review and input, and to review and make recommendations regarding co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Heritage High School’s Governance Team meets once a month and all meetings are open to the public. The agenda and minutes for the School Governance Team meetings are available on eBoard.
