Trio of Softball Players Sign College Scholarships

Softball collegeNational Letter of Intent Day was November 11, 2020 and three Heritage softball seniors have made their college commitments.

Rachel Gibson signed with Clemson University.  Rachel is a two time State Pitcher of the Year, four time Region Pitcher of the Year, four time Catoosa County News Pitcher of the Year, two time Chattanooga Times-Free Press Pitcher of the Year, and three time All-State Selection.  She holds school records in season ERA (0.74 in 2020), career ERA (1.2 in 494 innings pitched), season strikeouts (303 in 2019) and career strikeouts (847).

Bailey Christol signed with the State University of West Georgia.  Bailey finished her softball career in the top 5 all time in batting average, hits, walks, stolen bases, doubles and runs scored.  Her passion, defense at third base, and ability to hit the ball in any situation made her a key team leader and helped the Generals win 3 straight state championships.

Bailey Davis signed with East Georgia State College.  Bailey transferred to Heritage from Utah and quickly earned a starting spot on the HHS softball team.  She became a legend for her laser beam throw from right field in the state championship game in 2019 which led to a triple play for the win.
