This Week at Heritage

  • Congratulations to the HHS band members selected to District Jazz Honor Band and Clinic Band:  Haley Silvey (1st chair alto sax), Neal Brite (alto sax), Ben Hicks (tenor sax), Audrey Smith (1st chair trumpet), Parker Taylor (trumpet), Dylan Campbell (trumpet), Justus Smith (1st chair trombone), Stephen Scott (trombone), Parker Hayen (trombone), Andrew Higgins (1st chair bass guitar), Justin Haynes (clinic), Alex Frost (clinic), Chase Davies (clinic) and Nathan Campbell (clinic).
  • Congratulations to the softball team for going undefeated in the region and winning back-to-back region championships!  The Generals will host STATE round 1 this week!
  • Congratulations to the JV volleyball team for going undefeated and winning the North Georgia Area JV Volleyball Tourney!  The Generals defeated Coahulla Creek, North Murray (twice), NW Whitfield, Chrisitan Heritage, Ringgold and Lafayette to win the tourney and finish the season with a 27-3 record!
  • Homecoming Elections will be held on Tuesday.  Candidates are Mackenzie Lee, Mariah McCrary, Briley Shaw, Melissa Simmons, and Gracie Smith.  Junior representative is Sarah Goins, sophomore rep. is Maddie Proctor and freshman rep. is Lydia Locke.
  • We will  hold our annual fundraiser for the Catoosa County Children's fun by collecting vote donations for candidates for the "Homecoming Emperor".  Candidates are Kenton Aaron, Nehemiah Antoine, Derek Gibson, Brady Hawkins, Pete Padgett, Easton O"Donnell and Maddox Rose. The "Emperor" will be crowned at the Homecoming Pep Rally.
  • Don't forget to register for the annual Homecoming Cornhole Tournament coming up on Thursday, October 10th at 5:30 pm.  Registration for 2 person team is $20.  You can register online or contact Katie Byrd at kbyrd.hhs@catoosa.k12.ga.us.  All proceeds go to HHS SkillsUSA club.
  • Come support the HHS Cross Country team at "Your Pie" on Battlefield Parkway next to Publix on Tuesday, October 8th between 4:00 and 8:00 pm.  XC runners will serve and 10% of proceeds go to the XC program.
  • We have vintage yearbooks for sale!  Volume 1-7 (2009-2015) are $25, Volume 8-9 (2016-2017) are $40, Volume 10 (2018) is sold out, and Volume 11 (2019) is $70.
