Bio

Jeff Green:  I graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in '90 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.  I had the great opportunity to work in the television field right here in the Tennessee Valley at WRCB-TV Channel 3 in Chattanooga, TN for 18 years.  During that time I held several positions including:  Associate Producer, News Producer, Editor, Sports Producer, News Photographer, Sports Photographer, Chief Photographer and finally Senior Photographer.  News and Sports Videography eventually became my passion.  As a news photographer for Channel 3 I had the pleasure of covering national, regional and local news 24 hours a day/7 days a week.  Stories such as Presidential Elections, the 100 car pile up on I-75, Brent Marsh Crematory, the Storm of '93 to name a few.  Covering those stories with top notch reporters like Bill Markham, Russell Martin, Ryan Owens, Ted Daniel, Cindy Sexton, Paul Barys, Thom Benson, and Jed Mescon just to name a few.

A sports fan at heart-I also got to be a part of some unbelievable sports assignments while working at WRCB-TV.  From 1997-2007 I had the opportunity to cover the Tennessee Vols football team for virtually every home game.  While I'm not a Vols fan, I was on the sideline at Neyland Stadium and many other venues around the country shooting highlights for our sports department.  In '98 I travelled with WRCB Sports Director Randy Smith to Tempe, Arizona for a week to cover the 1998/99 NCAA BCS Championship Game:  Tennessee vs Florida State. I've also shot video at the Super Bowl, NCAA Basketball Tournament (Sweet 16), NBA Playoffs (Hawks vs Celtics), NFL (Falcons & Titans), MLB NL Baseball Playoffs & All Star Game and hundreds of UTC Moc Basketball & Football games as well as other High School Athletic events.

The best part of working at WRCB-TV in Chattanooga for all of those years wasn't all about tv news.  Channel 3 is where I met my lovely wife Steffanie back in 1995.  Steffanie and I met while she was interning at the station to become a News Reporter.  13 years later we  have 3 wonderful sons:  Camden (10), Carson (8) & Cade (4).  We live in Ooltewah, Tn but hope to move closer to Heritage within the next few years.
